Top 5 Skins Episodes (gen 2) → #5. 4x02 “Emily”

The reasons for my love of the majority of these episodes are because of the flawless cinematography. That’s something that (besides love triangles, I’ve noticed) Skins does a lot and (unlike the triangles) executes every time. While I did think Naomi and Emily had a cute relationship, (I will admit, the writers blessed them with some of the cutest couple-ly moments of the generation) I didn’t get attached to it like I did with others. However, the top of the building scene/Emily’s monologue is something that will always give me a ‘no-please-no-i-refuse-to-cry’ reaction. I can’t help but love it so much. Mama loves her some angst. Also, Emily’s raspy voice and constant hair porn do ~things to me. Actually just the general things that go on with her face. Adorable goggles and dressing up like a Spaniard? Check. Then of course there’s her scene in the bathroom with Cook. “Dance, Muff Monkey?” Adorable friendship is adorable. (this is another excuse for me to blab, feel free to delete it)
